The Stranger covers all things Seattle; as the “Only Newspaper in Seattle,” you have to! Often large features would be photographed by local photographers, and most music and theater pieces would have press photos. However, everything else was at one point or another up for grabs. Thankfully our team had two eager photographers ready to go out and watch those naked people, take photos at that festival, or drive to random and not so random spots around Seattle to capture the essence of the city and its people. If you’ve been paying attention, I was one of those eager photographers, and racked up quite a few printed photos during my time with the paper. It was always a thrill, seeing your work out on the streets, in people’s hands, or being shared online. Here are a few of my favorites.
